20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

20 Who would have thought 30 years ago that a freely available commodity in nature would turn into such big business? I’m talking about water of course. It amazes me how many different “varities” of something you can have that has no taste. If you think about it, is there anything else out there that is marketed in as many different ways as water, when the end product is essentially the same exact thing? You have water from springs, brooks, streams, mountains and caves to name a few and if those aren’t good enough for you, well here comes another choice.

bottle Say hello to Kona Deep. “Kona Deep® seawater is at the pinnacle of all deep seawaters. It is bottled at the source in Kona, Hawaii. Drawn only from the 3000 foot depth and approximately 2000 years old, it is desalinized through a state-of-the-art, double-pass, reverse osmosis system that gurantees purity while preserving natural nutrients and minerals.” So what the hell does that all mean? It means you can now drink water (and old water at that), which has no taste mind you, from 3,000 feet below the ocean which is some how suppose to make it taste better, even though water has no taste. Oh and of course you’ll probably get to pay a premium as well. Sounds good to me, what about you guys?

well, in my book, water is water… I don’t understand the deal with all these new “premium” waters coming out.

I LOVE bottled water and I would probably try this brand too.

My city puts too much chlorine and fluoride into our water system so we only wash with it. All we drink and cook with is home distilled or non-chlorine and no fluoride bottled H2o.
I despise chemicals in my water!
