Multitasker

The ever increasing importance placed on time and money makes multitasking more and more important. No matter what it is, people are always looking for things that can solve multiple problems. The more birds you can kill with one stone, the less stuff you have to buy, and also the less things you have carry around with you. There is one thing that you carry with you every day though and has historically only served one purpose and that’s clothing. It only makes sense to experiment with ways in which clothing can serve multiple purposes.
Say hello to the wearable canoe. What looks to be at first a simple skirt, is in actuality a life saving flotation device. Designed in the wake of Katrina, the wearable canoe is a skirt that the wearer can inflate in extreme weather conditions. Being bright orange would probably help in the rescue efforts as well.

Just in case one gets caught in a flash flood.
That said, I’d hardly agree with the statement that clothing “has historically only served one purpose.” Clothing serves many purposes. Enough such that I’m not even such which one you think is the “one” purpose it serves.

So do your legs dangle in the water and freeze off, or can they go into the canoe?

That’s right only save the women or the men who are willing to wear a skirt. Need plaid for the men. Kilts.

After all the times I see cruise ocean liner disasters on TV this would be what I would wear most times on deck. What a conversation starter and cute too!

Yeah, but wouldn’t you have to carry oars with you everywhere?
