I don’t think so. People have cell phones mounted on their dash like this. This kind of looks like a cell phone bay too.

Fantastic idea! If it is good enough for the police to use then it is great for us too! I know people that were hit by a police car at an intersection and somehow the officers dash cam tape came up missing. They could have used their own tape in court if they had this dashboard camera

Well it is a fantastic idea, however I’d use it to police the teen driver in the household, or for simply policing your spouses driving.
Besides, take note that the police pull you over from behind, so if that’s your goal, maybe you need one for the front, and one for the back?
